BPD – Good luck guys !

Posted in Uncategorized by realitycheck on January 22, 2007

BPD website launched (via Polite Indian at the good Mutiny site

http://bharatpunarnirman.org/

After years of study and hands-on experience at the grassroots level it became clear to the group that without reforming the political system any attempt to reform the society or the governance will be futile.

Brilliant quote. This is why NGOs can never substitute an efficient government.  I am still reading their website.

For those new to this story: A group of former IIT students have formed a new political party called BPD (Bharat Punarnirman Dal). Blogger Polite Indian has even established phone contact with the founder Mr Ajit Shukla (story here)

This is very welcome news indeed. I do not care about their lack of experience or lack of rural social work. I do not care whether they are from IITs or SSLC. I do not care that they did not reform a village like the protagonist in some Tamil/Telugu movie first. They may be dreamy eyed and idealistic. Their statements may not make sense to political observers. Their ideas may sound impractical. No one cares.

The only thing that matters is they are here. They are here to challenge the narrowing national interest in whatever small way they can. Remember, each one of these guys could be in San Diego or Florida in a nice 5 bed-2 car house with a lake view.

They are like a 500ml can of Drano-max. A single 500 ml can may not clean the sewage pipes of Delhi, but it is a start. It makes gunk in all pipes nervous.

There are lots of folks moaning that they are not for social justice. Stop spreading FUD.  Real social justice has not even started in India.  60 years after independence our social justice programs are so broken that the state is not even basing it on data. This is a slap in the face of both natural justice (more marks trumps less marks) as well as social justice (those with more backwardness indicators trump those with less). What we have today is a magic wand to politicians.

The youth can come up with a better social justice program than anything that has ever been designed. Guess what ! You dont have to be a PhD in sociology from JNU to do it.  We will make sure the lorry drivers, the night soil carriers, the brick breakers, the landless labourers, the nomadic wanderers,  and the multitude of really deserving are given their due share.  We wont just use their plight for propaganda, we will design policies that uplift them directly.  Social justice policies should not artificially divide kids who grow up together in similar conditions.  First measure, then implement policies with a tight feedback loop.  The youth of all castes, communities, and religions are tired of these externally imposed divisions. They are restless because no one is showing them  data that the current system is justified or that it is reaching the really needy uniformly.

Naturally folks who have positioned themselves as interlocutors of vested interests (read dominant political forces who stand to gain by the current social platforms) are nervous.

Barbarindian wonders why some folks talk mockingly about this infant outfit.  Answer : The same reason why a room full of giant balloons gets nervous when a little thorny twig enters the room.

A famous quote by Churchill in 1945 opposing the granting of Independence to India:

“Power will go into the hands of rascals, rogues and freebooters Not a bottle of water or a loaf of bread will escape taxation. Only the air will be free and the blood of these hungry millions will be on the head of Attlee. These are men of straw of whom no trace will be found after a few years. They will fight among themselves and India will be lost in political squabbles.”

    Brahman,

What a coincidence, I am reading some material which also mentions Chruchill’s obstinate refusal to grant independence to India! Guess he was right after all.

    No brahman, barbarindian,

He was wrong. The fact that you and I are educated and can actually tell the world whether churchill was right or wrong is a standing confirmation that he was wrong.

    He is not completely wrong.

My grandfather was educated even when Mr. Churchill was in charge of affairs, and his (my grand father’s – pronouns can be such devils) education did not need dravida politicians.

I am sorry to disagree. These days no one wants to live even in a banana republic let alone be colonised. Wouldnt like to be in the shoes of people in Iraq for example. In fact, colonies that got freedom after India went through a much more traumatic history (Algeria, Vietnam) but I dont think anyone out there want to be dictated by the french.

Interestingly, last week around 60000 people attended a rally in Ranchi against forced internal displacement in India (http://www.fightdisplacement.com/?q=node/3). In october, 70000 people attended a rally in Dantewada, CG protesting against Salwa Judum.

I wonder why these events fail to stir the media, while a couple of 20 somethings (IITans or not) addressing 10 journalists makes big news, and an inspiration for many for “reforming the political system”? Remember that Manohar Parikkar is an IITian, so is Jairam Ramesh, Ajit Singh and a host of some other politicians. Good academics doesn’t make good politics. Remember even Bush went to Yale, and Bin Laden was a civil engineer.

Just curious to know, whatever happened to the earlier IITians created party : Lok Paritran (did I get the name right)?

    Anoop,

    >> while a couple of 20 somethings (IITans or not) addressing 10 journalists makes big news >>

Perhaps, the current set of educated online youth sees in these 20 somethings a political outlet. There is nothing wrong with that.

About Salwa Judum & Maoists, you are absolutely right about the media completely ignoring the burning issue. I have written about them in the past. It is outrageous that in the heart of India 50000 people have to live in refugee camps fearing naxal violence. The very fact that we have something called Salwa Judum is a tragedy. A state that fails to have a monopoly on the use of force is doomed. I have written about them many times (see https://realitycheck.wordpress.com/?s=salwa+judum ) You know more about them and I appreciate your posts on the subject.

Last year, I wrote about the most audacious attack by Naxals in blowing up the ferries carrying tourists in the Nagarjunasagar reservoir. This was one of the first posts in this blog.https://realitycheck.wordpress.com/2006/05/01/cruisers-rip/ Guess what, the 24 hour news channels did not even find it worth a 2 min story.

Still I get excited about BPD because people like me have no chance in any of the mainstream political parties dominated by money, muscle, and most of all subservient to vested interests.

    Goldstar,
Lok Paritran is dead and One of the founders of Lok Paritran (Ajit Shukla) is also the founder of BPD.
Lok Paritran split because of ideological differences as one of them wanted to establish a Hindu Rashtra.

I think Churchill was absolutely right. When one considers that most people in Parliament and State Legislatures in India today have some criminal background (theft, murder, rape, assault, embezzlement etc), Churchill could see things very clearly indeed, and he was not once to sugarcoat words.

“Power will go into the hands of rascals….” –> Check

“Not a bottle of water or load of bread will escape taxation..” -> Check (Excise tax, License Raj, Permit Raj, special duty, countervailing duty, special excise tax).

“Blood of hungry millions” –> Check (India now overflowing with even more hundreds of hungry millions)

“will fight among themselves and India will be lost in political squabbles..” –> Check (Caste, Language, Religion, NorthEast, Naxalite, Maoist conflicts)

Now of course I am happy the British left, Everyone wants freedom. But blind patriotism should not blind us to the fact that by any objective measure, Churchill was spot in every single word he said. I read in India Today recently that some villagers in Bihar and UP were complaining that things were better for them under the British Raj.

    Hi All,

In no way i want to hurt your feelings but i would say instead of proving things which someone has told so many years ago about our country has no point. We can not get any result by discussing those people’s thought. What we can do is, stand up and support these young people and make a contribution to the country and change the thought of our country’s youth.

Bharat Punarnirman Dal is contesting elections in UP ?

Lok Paritran is also contesting elections in UP ?

Some other Anti Corruption Parties are also fielding their candidates in elections ?

Intellectual & Deshbhakth Indians will be confused and vote will be splitted , which will pave way to victory of BSP , Mulayam , Congress or Communal BJP !!

Is this the destiny of Mother India ???

Why don’t all like minded Parties unite and make a coalition of Patriots ??

We can only unite and win the power to change India .

Lok Paritran Founder Tanmay accuses BPD Founder Ajit Shukla as Conspirator responsible for Split in LP , he also told media that founders of BPD have hacked Lok Paritrana Orkut Communities ???

    http://www.ibnlive.com/news/politics/04_2007/iitians-political-dream-goes-bust-37688.html

New Delhi: It was a dream that was realised to bring about a “positive” change in Indian polity.

But a group of IITians, it seems, weren’t equipped enough to carry forward the burden of expectations.

Lok Paritran, the political party formed by a group of ex-IITians in 2005 witnessed a vertical split just ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.

The breakaway faction is called Bharat Punarnirman Dal (BPD) and will take on Lok Paritran head on in the UP poll field.

The LPP has said the split is unfortunate and has alleged political conspiracy. He also said BPD – formed by some ex-IIT Kanpur students – was “misguiding media and innocent party supporters.”

The party also alleged that BPD working committee has illegitimately held the ownership of LPP’s online community on Orkut.

However, party officials maintain the party will go and contest UP polls and is finalising candidates of Lucknow and Allahabad in next few days.

“We will contest the elections in the fifth, sixth and seventh phases in UP despite contemptuous act of spreading rumours against the party by some former party members, who have formed BPD,” national president L P Tanmay Rajpurohit was quoted as saying.

LPP was founded in 2005 and became a registered political party in February 2006 and enjoyed had got a tremendous response in Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

“Power will go into the hands of rascals….” –> yes, depends on which side of political divide you are, ask an Irish or Welch. State presided over by a tax-payers funded Queen.

“Not a bottle of water or load of bread will escape taxation..” -> yes (VAT on everything, planned per-mile road usage tax!!, NI, council tax, higher parking charges for bigger vehicle..go on).

“Blood of hungry millions” –> Iraq, Ireland, Scotland, many-many millions more during colonisation

“will fight among themselves and India will be lost in political squabbles..” –> Check (Irish, Islamic phobia, Scottish, Welsh) , also add ‘chav’ and ‘yob’ culture

which country fulfils above description today?? United Kingdom Britain The Great.

About 193 out of 192 sovereign nations will fit this description, more or less, including united states of america.

Guys (Brahman and others) come out of such self-pity thoughts and consider e.g.

    > which country on the planet has official holiday declared for every major faith in the world – diwali, christmas, eed, baisakhi, mahavir…
    > in which country about the size of a Europe goes to peaceful elections every year
    > which is the second highest growth-economy
    >which is the largest democracy the world has ever known

Churchill could not have been farther from truth, were he alive today, he would eat his tongue not to prophesize for the rest of his life

    Hello Everyone,

I have been closely observing this.

For those who don’t know, I was part of core team LP Karnataka and then moved to Pune, and after the split, joined BPD.
When Tanmay came to Pune, he was living in my house for 4-5 days and we had many long discussions.
so I can share my version of truth.

While working in Bangalore, I read a lot of comments[negative] about Tanmay on various blogs, regarding his fanatic hinduism.I completely ignored that.
We were closely working with Ajit Shukla, who was quite decent, logical, inspirational leader. I personally assumed that Tanmay would be falling on the same grounds. when I met Tanmay, the picture was totally different.

    1. The first impression about him is always – arrogant, rude.
    2. He would refuse to answer any question saying that you have no right to ask anything as we have done so much sacrifice.
    3. He does not make effective use of time, I would rush to the meeting, leaving aside all imp office work and after spending 4-5 hours in discussion, I would realise that I have not got anything. Tanmay would be just playing around words and reciting some shlokas of Neetishatak.
    4. Tanmay always wanted to establish his own military which he has openly shared with me and many others. his idea was to take 200 youngsters to a farm and train them for 6 months and use them for whatever gundaism he wants to spread. and the same reflects in the photograph. he even has planned further details like uniforms etc..
    5. for the above reason, he did not want any women in his party and refused to acknowledge me and my commitment. I am writing this very carefully and I know what I am saying. but this is the truth.
    6. now the important question – money.. How would you arrange the funds? Tanmay would either avoid this question saying- paisa to aa jata hai. But I have witnessed him professing corruption and election adjustments. the reason he gave was, if you want to bring in a big change, you must do these small adjustments. But he would never explain what this big change is all about.
    7. After observing all this, I could not any more continue under his leadership, and natuarally joined BPD.
    8. Nobody expelled Ajit Shukla, Ajit himself went out and formed a new party, because he could foresee natural death to this party due to Tanmay’s behaviour.

I found Tanmay to be hypocritic, as does not come up clean with his ideologies and stands. his ideology documents are vague and superficial. On the same ground, he never promised us corruption- free, efficient government, its our interpretation of it.
people like you and me, who are honest and patriotic, derived this fact that some “IITians” coming up with such a stand must be honest and transparent. so its the problem of wrong expectation.
who pays them, its people like me who are saving a share of their earnings for a noble cause.

Thank you for your kind comments. Through this forum I would like to state that if Tanamy Rajpurhit and Chandrashekhar really belong to the highly respected Alumni of the IIT’ians and honour them, they should come forward and accept their folly and gracefully resign from the primary membership of the party along with all the members of the National executive committee of LP.If they do so, as an elderly person of the party, I shall pardon them for all their mis-endeavors so far, and assure them that no member of the party or any Bangalorean, there are lakhs of them who appreciated our efforts, shall cause any harm to them when they are repenting thus in front of the press. I shall also make best efforts to see that legal actions initiated against them so far are also dealt with leniently. This will ensure restoration of public faith in LP for the purpose for which it was launched and all the breakaway groups, abandoned groups/individuals of earsttwhile LP as well as other smaller groups/parties with similar ideology and vision can all join together to form a strong united national force to transform politics and Governance in our country. I know that it is a “TALL” demand; but the time to think thus is “Right Now” and if everyone associated with this page thinks deeply and responds, we would have contributed immensely to the dreams of all of us, including Mr. Sanjeev Sabhlok, who may not have to wait too long to genuinely form his team of 1500 capable volunteers of freedom movement..

If they do not come forward for repentance and act as I have suggested, I can only say that that they shall be ruining their lives at such an young age, as truth alone shall triumph over all mis-deeds. We shall also miss a Golden opportunity to unite all like-minded groups to form a united national force to transform India; and, further, the IIT Alumni may permanently have a black mark on its credibility vis-a-vis values and ethics in life just because of these individuals. I request all bloggers, friends and others who were quite concerned about the future of LP and such other outfits to think and see positively in this manner and by the grace of God and our collective thought and action we shall succeed.

  29. BB Khilari said, on May 22, 2008 at 4:54 pm

    Dear all,
Greetings! I am Cdr. (Retd) BB Khilari from Bangalore, who has contested the Assembly elections from Lok Paritran and awaiting results on 25 May 08. At the outset, I would like to inform you in right earnestness that you all are being totally ill-informed and mis-guided about Karnataka LP party by Tanmay Raj Purohit and his brother Chandrashekhar through LP website.

You all may be surprised to know that if at all LP party noticeably exists in the country, it is the Karnataka unit, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Mr. BT Naganna, the erstwhile State President and Mr. Shashidhar Alabur, the Treasurer, who have been sweating it out for over two and a quarter years to spread the message of LP, without any recognisable support from the so-called National Committee of LP headed by the two brothers mentioned above.

I only joined about six months ago, highly impressed by the ideology and vision portrayed by the party, and contributed my bit in its growth. However, you shall all be surprised to know that none of the National Committee members have helped any of the 11 candidates in the campaigning process even on a single day. Instead they were busy contacting the candidates one by one to adjust the poll expenses of Congress candidates into their accounts as the maximum expenditure of LP candidates was around 2 to 2.5 lakhs against the CEC allowed limit of 10 lakhs. The basic aim seems to have been to convert black money of the Congress candidates into white for their own self-aggrandisement.

When I got the wind of this and when Tanmay Purohit and Chandrashekhar wanted to visit me alone at my residence, I refused and asked them to arrange a formal meeting at the party Hqs. Since none of the candidates, except perhaps, one, Nalin Jain, presumably their relative, and an unfit LP candidate projected by the National team, agreed to their nefarious demands, on 10th May, they invited Mr. Naganna, for a personal discussion at about 8.45 pm. and after the discussions, where in Mr. Naganna refused to influence any of the candidates accounts or make adjustments in the State accounts, and when Mr. Naganna was about to leave by his car he was attacked by three masked men from a car immediately behind his car with sticks and base ball bats. Naganna somehow managed to chase them away and went home and informed Mr. Shashidhar and others of the party (I have a message received at about 10.21 pm stating Naganna attacked by Tanmay and gang, be careful, saved in my mobile). The conspirators then went and lodged a complaint with police that Naganna had attacked them. However, Mr. Naganna, keepiung in mind, the reputation of the party had discussion with many a party members and candidates next morning and filed a complaint of assault in the evening.

In the mean time on that day Chandrashekhar and Tanmay addressed a press conference ( all pre-planned, as you have to book in advance) to state that Mr. Naganna has been dismissed and the State unit of Lp has been dissolved, by slapping totally false and baseless charges against Naganna, an act which is also utterly illegal as no prior notice had been issued nor the National council meeting had been convened to take such a decision. Surprisingly, yesterday, when the state committee was holding its meeting from 1600 hours and extended upto 2000 hours Mr. Nalin Jain, in collusion with Tanmay and Chandrashekhar, lodged a complaint in a remote police station at about 1830 hours that Mr. Naganna, Mr. Shashidhar and Mr. Anuj Mishra, a candidate, along with 10 heavily armed goondas attacked him at his office and demanded Rs. six lakhs and to withdraw the complaint lodged by Tanmay against Naganna. I, along with others went to the Police station today and have told the Inspector that this complaint was absolutely false as all the 3 members accused were in a meeting with us the previous day at the alleged time of attack.

The police have also confirmed that no one visited Nalin Jain’s office as alleged and are taking suitable action. I would like to inform you people that 10 candidates, including Naganna and myself, who contested the elections really sweated it out against corruption, in-efficiency and in-competency in governance and apathy of the administrative machinery towards citizens’ problems with un-imaginable sincerity and dedication and that too in our pre-decided limited budgets, which was appreciated alround. The acts of the National committee of LP came as a surprising blow to all of us and has done considerable damage in the eyes of the public. We have learnt with fgeat pains that these conspirators and the so called founders of LP have done similar acts in Tamil Nadu, UP, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Gujrat and have not promoted the cause for LP’s growth , but were mis-guiding every one , including those who are funding from abroad.

Please convey this trurth to all those who you know and expose these mis-guided youths, who are younger to my children, and help me in pursuing my fight against corruption which is the original aim of this party.

My E-mail ID is bbkhilari@yahoo.com and you can contact me on 09342689574. Let us all together build a good society and a good governance.

    Warm Regards,

    Hi,
I have doubt whether LP’s founders are really from IIT. They don’t know LP’s constitution also. They think that any state unit/Office can be started any time and dissolve any time. There is certain procedure for this. As per the constitution, national committee have to sent notice to the state unit and seek clarification of the issue and I have come to know that they have not done so far but they have announced in the media. They also think that LP is their parental property. Dear founders, the day party is registered with election commission its public property and not yours own.

Today I came to know from website that a new office has been opened to do the business.

    ************
Lok Paritran is happy to announce a new and improved office in Karnataka. The Karnataka State office will be located in Bangalore and is open for business. The contact information is given below.
    157, 12th Main, Nagendra Block, Bangalore – 560 050
Opposite Aiyappa Temple on 50 Ft Road
    Contact #: 94489 85711
    ***********************
I am confused whether they have opened the office to do the business or server the society. No No, its for the business what they did this time. In another 3 months there are possibility of Corporation election and later Parliamentary election and they can do better business.
As per the Raj comments, LP (desolved) should merge with another party or create a new organization. I feel this is very easy because what ever name LP have got due to Karnata State unit and not due to LP’s founders. As all are together they can set the things right very quickly but here question is what will happen if LP founders will continue in LP. They will be keep doing business on the name of IIT, keep shitting here and there so its better to finish them (Remove them from LP)politically so that in future they will not dare to open even NGO also.

I believe Karntaka unit has a support of all the state units and together they will create history.

This is very unfortunate but people across the country are very happy that LP’s (Looser Party) president Chandrashekar, GS Tanmay and Shantagopalan finally got bitten in karnataka. leagal advisor Srikant Chakravarti managed to disappear with the 4 gundas hired for Naganna. This was suppose to happen in Lucnow or Mumbai but they managed to escape.

Now see who is with LP

Tamilnadu – No one. LP’s founder misbehave with them and they all are in the process of merging with BPD (Bharat punarnirman dal).

Andharapradesh – No One. They are already with BPD.

Karnataka – Only one and that is Nalin Jain. I don’t think people of karnataka will give any value to a Rajsthani.

Delhi – Sharma was taking care of Delhi unit but LP’s founders abused him and he left the party with Delhi unit.

Gujrat – No one. Molik Bhatt (LP Candidate from Maninagar) got bitten by LP’s founders and he is no more with LP.

UP – None. Two Candidates fought Assembly election under lok paritran banner but now athey are not with LP but BPD. They are finished in UP.

Maharastra – All joined BPD. No base at all for LP.

Finally, all are happy with the news that LP founders got bitten badly in Karnataka and in the process of forming another group or joining with BPD.

Dear Members, our supporters and all of you who have voted for our candidates in the polls on May 10th….

The founders of Lok Paritran, who form the National Committee, held a PressConference on Monday and made allegations on Mr. B.T.Naganna. Almost all the newspapers have carried the details of this press note in their editions on Tuesday and the same has also been put up on the website of the party.

Mr. B.T.Naganna was our State President until he was removed from the post yesterday as per the announcement in the Press Conference. He was also our candidate from KRPuram constituency.

*All the allegations made by the National committee are baseless and totally false.
*We are now in the process of filing our case on the founders for defamation and damages. The details will be made available to all of you as soon as we actually file the case in the court of law.

The charge that Mr. Naganna attacked Tanmay is also false – in fact, Tanmay and his team organised a pre-meditated attack on Naganna at around 9.30pm on the 10th evening, after we all dispersed from the Press Club around 8.30pm.

The reason for the attack on Naganna is extremely shocking and shameful – but we want all our people to know the truth, however bitter it may be….

About 10 days ago, when all our candidates had started their Election campaigns in full earnest, the National General Secretary, Tanmay Rajpurohit, asked two of our candidates to adjust about Rs. 6 lakhs to 7 lakhs of expenses on behalf of candidates from one of the largest National political party. Both our candidates refused to do so.

Tanmay’s reasoning for this was that as none of our candidates were going to show more than Rs. 2 lakhs as the poll expenses, this would be very `helpful’ to our party.

This matter was discussed between a few select members and other candidates and was decided that we would refuse to do this `adjustment’ and that the National committee would be confronted with this issue immediately after the polling.

Tanmay and their team were also pressurizing our (ex) State Treasurer – Mr. Shashidhar Alabur, to submit the State unit’s accounts on the 5th of May itself. He said it would not be possible because of lack of time and when he demanded to see the accounts of the National unit, his request was refused by Tanmay saying that he had no right to scrutinize their accounts.

Thereafter, on the night of May 5th, around 1am, Tanmay and his team along with about 15 others came in 3 vehicles to his house and started banging on the gate of his house. Fearing that some untoward incident may happen, he did not venture out and called the police. Tanmay and his team left the premises before the police arrived. However, a formal complaint was not lodged as this could be extremely embarrassing for our candidates if this news leaked out to the press while the actual polling date was just 5 days away.

All candidates and core members were supposed to meet in the party office at 6pm on 10th evening after the polling concluded and take the National team to task on the above and many other such matters like a) they never joined any candidates’ campaigns even though they had supposedly more than 15 party members who had come down from Delhi/Rajasthan to help the candidates, b) there was absolutely no help in terms of funds for the State unit or the candidates, c) they were creating more problems for the candidates than helping them out by calling them for meetings at odd hours and places etc.

However, because of a bogus voting issue in one booth of one of our candidates, we all had to rush to the Chief Election Commissioner’s office where we joined the press conference in progress and then lodged our formal complaint on the bogus voting problem. Thereafter, all of us present had various discussions with the media and then dispersed around 8.30pm. A few minutes after Naganna left, Tanmay called him on his mobile and told him they wanted to have a personal discussion with him and agreed to meet near TGI Friday on Airport Road. All of them met for some time and Chandrashekhar, the National President, then asked Naganna to instruct all the candidates to ‘adjust’ Rs. 5 lakhs to 7 lakhs for another party’s candidates in our poll expenses. Naganna refused to do so and walked away.
Just as he got into his van, 4 men dressed in black, wearing black helmets with dark visors attacked him from both sides. A baseball bat was shoved in from one window which bruised Naganna in the face – but he was quick to grab the bat, get out from the other side and chase one of them with the bat. In the skirmish that followed, Naganna sustained injuries on his hands and legs also – but the thugs managed to escape in an old blue Maruti van. Tanmay & co were spotted watching all this and then they rushed to get into an auto and vanish.

When we all joined forces in the morning on Sunday and went to the Police Station to lodge a complaint, we found Tanmay & co also in the same Police station lodging a complaint on us ! Thereafter, we discovered that they had also lodged another complaint in another Police station on the events of the previous night claiming that Naganna had attacked Tanmay. And on Monday we got the news that they had conducted a press conference where they accused Naganna of various things and that the State committee has been dissolved.

In view of all these events, many statements made by Tanmay and Chandrashekhar, during the last so many meetings and even just before the nominations were filed, assume a different significance now. Remarks like ‘it is very easy to get money during elections’, ‘just pay 5000 for the nomination deposit and the rest will automatically come to you’, ‘adjusting 5 or 10 lakhs (rupees) is not a big thing during elections’ etc. etc. The fact that during the Elections in Gujarat, while the campaigns were in full swing in Gujarat, the whole team flew in from Ahmedabad to Bangalore for 2 days just to meet us and were found having a party at the Leela Palace !

May be this was due to some ‘adjustment’ ?

It is now quite obvious to us that these founders of Lok Paritran have always had these intentions of making money during the elections as the primary purpose and all that ideology etc is just eyewash.
We always felt, that, even though the founders had a horrible dress sense, were quite often rude and rough with members – we felt this was due to immaturity and that they would learn in the course of time – but we never doubted their integrity and morals. Alas, we have been proved wrong.
However, every single active member of our Bangalore unit as well as all the candidates (except Nalin Jain who contested from Gandhinagar constituency, who happens to be Tanmay’s close associate) have expressed their solidarity with Naganna and the state committee. Those of you who know us personally or have met us will know who is speaking the truth.

*We assure you all that all of us in the State committee, District committee and all the 10 candidates have been true to the ideology of Lok Paritran, are non-corrupt, are transparent in our actions and accountable for our actions totally – and will continue to be so.

    * Some other facts that you all should be aware of :
Tanmay and Chandrashekhar are own brothers – but Chandrashekhar never writes Rajpurohit after his name (probably to hide this fact)
Dheeraj Kumar who is on the national committee is a cousin of Tanmay.
Santanagopalan and Srikant Chakravarti – who are also on the National committee are cousins of Tanmay.
So, the national committee is a family affair now.
(That is transparency for all of us !)

The three or four of the other founders who were with Tanmay when the party was founded have all left (or were forced to leave).

None of the National team answers their phones on Tuesday !!! (Seriously, we are not joking) – they did not want any of the candidates to file their nominations on Tuesday this time in Bangalore – but some did anyway. (May be they don’t teach about superstitions in IIT ?)

*What next for all of us and Lok Paritran ? *
We have decided to wait till the announcement of the poll results on May 25th before taking a final decision.
We feel this is not the end of it as the National committee has some more dirty tricks in their bag and will try and do some more damage to us in the next 10-15 days – but we will show them that they cannot get away with it anymore.

Many many sincere thanks to all of you who have supported us in our endeavors and efforts in these last 2 years. We will continue to strive for good governance and removal of corruption – and we hope your support is there for us too….

By the (ex) State Committee, (ex) District committee and our 10 candidates.

Politics is to add the people and not to remove them. I have seen that n number of people joined LP but disappeared due to the behavior of LP’s founders. Now take example of Naganna (Ex Karnataka state president), He has done more work for LP than the founders. He is even more known in the public. Now LP’s founders are blaming that he is not a Graduate. Even if he is not then is LP is giving him job?? Is it written in LP constitution that only Graduate can hold post of President? Due to Nagana only LP exists in Karnatka and not due to LP’s founders. Why they didn’t check his certificate at the time of giving him president post? No one was taker of LP in Karnataka and today also no one is there to take care of LP in Karnataka. Through mail I came to know that all are supporting Naganna and no one is contacting LP’s founders. From LP’s founders only I heard about the murder case pending against Naganna. I just wanted to tell LP’s founder that if Indian law doesn’t have any issue with Naganna then why you are bothering. You should provide proof also other wise some day you may also get same changes by others. Respect others to get respect.

through mail only I came to know that all the candidate have put their hard earned money and didn’t get even a single coins from LP’s founder as they promised. Most of the candidates are in depth of 50K to 75K. This is due to false promises by LP’s founders. I just wanted to tell you that all the members in Karnataka state unit including the entire candidate are very much true because they are not politician and they are as pure as any thing.

LP Karnataka members are shocked but their moral is very high. They will be keeping continuing their work but not under LP banners.

I have been staunch supporter of Youth Politicians who will be voted to power for the benefit of society.

Can you tell why these people did these sort of Frauds and Moeny laundering business when they were already getting millions from their NRI supporters and Wealthy Indians ?

Why they have choosen to target the simple person like Shashi Alabur who was working for their party from last three years ?

There is something much more than what has been said here.

Can you focus that lok paritran is leftist ,centrist , right wing or secular ? what type of party it is and what it its stand on corruption, clean administration, good governance , accountable leadership and common cvil code for all.

do they have real manifesto ?

It seems that what Jai Hind has written is true but I wonder inspite of FIR against them why there is no Police Action against them ?

They have tried to threaten Police also with their IIT degrees , Political Power and Goons ?

There is lots of confusion about the fate of lok paritrana.

when I contacted all former lok paritran leaders , almost all of them from India had bad experience with Tanmay Rajpurohit and his group.

Feedback from former supporters shows that lp was a virtual party which was created to get media coverage so that funds can be collected.

Now after repeated splits , it is clear that LP is dead. and After removal of Karnataka state committee , its all over and forgotten because paritrana got this much publicity because of continuous hard work of Naganaa and Alabur along with their team of paritranites from K’nataka.

Founders of lok paritran has poor repution also among their IIT colleagues. One person informed that they are nothing but modern Lalu Yadavs. One cautioned that dont take their words for granted as they can change anytime. One of the former IITians told me that they have done silly things in IIT Mumbai also during their stay in hostel. They have resorted to money laundering not because they are habitual criminals but because they need money to build party to fight elections and get elected to the Office so that they can give honest and responsible rule free of corruption.

One of the member told me that Tanmay always said that he has bribed many times from registering party to getting press coverages. He also advocated unfair means to get money to finance the party. One of the mate from Delhi told that Tanmay was twice arrested in his home town jaipur for some criminal activities few years back. It is sad to know this.

This only convinces me again that only Bharat Punarnirman Dal is hope for youth of India and we should vote and support the efforts of Ajit Kumar Shukla who is an IIT topper from Mumbai and is working at grass root levels in North India.

rajpurohit was in iit bombay … he was poor in academics, practised boxing all the time. also heard he once threw a puppy from the third floor in a drunken state.

ofcourse this says nothing about his political skills or lack of them, but it sheds light on his character …

    All readers/ commentors,

If you guys are aware of the current situation (July-2008) of these parties.. pls lpost the same.

    1) Their statistics, progress, victories, defeats, expansion, members etc…

other point that can be considered.. since this is a free forum.. comments can / cannot be true…. wherever possible pls support ur comments with possible evidence(like photos, newspaper statement screen shots etc).. so that ppl can rely on the information…

what I also think is that first these parties have to do some kind of social work, non-political work, build forums etc, for 3-4 years while studying/observing politics around them…then jump into that… members might individually had that experience.. but as a party/ organisation (with say 50,000 members or till they reach a considerable mass) they have to work without getting into politics….then they probably have better chances…..

it was JULY – TWO THOUSAND EIGHT in my previous comment

so its all fallen apart for Lok paritraaan …. chandrasekhar has fired tanmay purohit (his brother) for treason.. also as someone noticed, he has put his name as chandrasekhar rajpurohit (check their web)

how can someone be so gullible as to not understand what senior “party” leadership is upto, treason or otherwise? it never was a party to begin with..

one has to wonder when BPD is going the same way.. i hope all these groups fall flat on their face. tell me one ground-breaking thing they have done.

  41. realitycheck said, on April 26, 2009 at 5:49 am

    >> i hope all these groups fall flat on their face.

Why ? Would you prefer if these guys settled down like their friends to a life of luxury in the west instead of getting involved in the political gutter ?

Maybe LP and BPD failed, but why the hatred to ‘all these groups’ ?

    • Gautam said, on August 25, 2009 at 10:45 am

Even we will fail but we will not leave ground. I got lots of experience working with LP and BPD. This is a phase of evolution and evolution not happened in one day. It takes time, so after many phase we will evolve as a party or at least Indian Leader.

Wish All of Them to See on Indian Political horizon.

      Thanks
      GKP
