Dravidian ideology is not a view point. Stop making category errors

In the midst of chronicle effort, I do drop in to check the pulse of Twitter.

The massive Chennai Book Fair is now underway. We have stall after stall featuring Dravidian propaganda material shoulder to shoulder mixed with other stalls selling dictionaries, self help books, sloka books etc etc. The sheer scale has to be seen to be believed.

I found a great example of a rookie error about #D. Nothing to be ashamed of I made these errors once too.

The thought process goes

“.. but you see Dravidian books represent a particular view point, but then there are stalls from Gita Press and Ramakrishna Press which offers the counter view points” hence we are still in the battle of ideas zone. Nothing to worry about. All good.

I feel like I am going to pluck a certain innocence from the tweeter here. Ready?

Dravidian is nothing more than Anti-Brahminism, you can choose not to read the actual source materials or tune into the CHANNEL and listen to what is actually said. That is a perfectly fine happy space to be in. In fact I do not recommend the soft of heart to go anywhere near Dravidian source material whether videos, twitter accounts, or books.

The trouble is : Dravidian is NOT a view point. In the sense that commentary on climate change, abortion, LGBTQ, taxation, even communism, capitalism are view points. It does not even fall within the ambit of OPINION, the kind of opinion we seek to protect by free speech laws. Opinion such as acidic commentary about politicians, scandals, etc. Dravidian-ism speaks about Tamil Brahmins as a schematic – a son of a Tamil Brahmin father and mother. They speak about the Brahmins and then project viewpoints on top.

Sartre nailed this so well when speaking about the Anti-Semite the same way we must speak about the Dravidian-Tamil who claim to represent all Non-Brahmin Tamil opinion.

The Dravidian propaganda material in the Chennai Book Fair does not contain “View Points” it contains canards, accusations, threats, caricatures, and vulgar intimidation against Tamizh Brahmins as a identifiable set of people based on birth. This cannot be a “view point”. Those who cringe at comparisons of Nazi propaganda to Anti-Brahmin Tamil propaganda should read how the “Protocols of Elders of Zion” itself was prominently sold in the Chennai Book Fair.. Because of the Tamil language gap and the criminally mendacious interpreters to English this escapes attention of the civilised world.

Our people are naive in a way to think that “A Criminal Passion” can be countered by a “A View Point”. Here is an example that will drive home the true nature of the Tamil(Dravidian Stock) society.

I purchased the book பார்ப்பனத் தந்திரங்கள் (Tamizh Brahmin tricks) – among a dozen others – at a previous edition of the Chennai Book Fair.

This book written by a retired Tamilian Govt School Headmaster Manjai Vasanthan. This Dravidian source book contains 30 or so accusations and expose of cunning tricks deployed by Tamizh Brahmins. I wrote a twitter thread about it. Compares them to AIDS virus and such like.

This is NOT a viewpoint. Hence, I do not see how Gita Press or Ramakrishna Press are counter viewpoints. A common error made by newbies to radical NonBrahmin-ism/Anti-Brahminism aka Dravidian-ism is to think that Theism (Aanmeekam) is a solid response to Dravidian-ism. The former is a belief the latter is a criminal passion.

A real “All view points are represented, all is good” is when you also have stalls in Chennai Book Fair which sell

Do you want this kind of society?

Do you see what I am saying?

Understand the nature of the ideology, then you always have the option of strategically pretending you dont.
